A huge congratulations to the Snap ballerinas who participated in Snap’s first ever Cecchetti ballet exams!

On Friday November 24, we had an internationally recognized examiner travel to Cochrane to examine our students. We had 14 dancers participate, at four different exam levels.  This was an incredible journey for every dancer who participated.  

Exam dancers worked hard in all of their weekly ballet classes as well as an additional ballet class each Sunday from mid-September to mid-November, and a mock exam on November 19,  for each level.  This included six sessions with live piano accompaniment from Ms. Lorel Leal, who plays for the Alberta Ballet Company – what an awesome opportunity for our dancers!   In addition to the overall improvement and development of their ballet technique,  this experience gave the students international recognition for having achieved a Cecchetti ballet exam. 

Dancers came out of their exams sweaty and tired, but exclaiming “that was so much fun!”
