Congratulations to Bella V. who was recently awarded the Jaimie Hill and Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship, awarded in memory of two Calgary dancers who tragically lost their lives in 1990 en route to a dance performance in Penticton with The Artistique Performing Arts Company (APAC), is awarded to dancers who demonstrate talent, motivation, cooperation, inspiration, dedication, determination and spirit.

Applicants must submit a written application, along with a 30 second to 1 minute video clip. The video clip should show, in your own creative way, why you love to dance. This year, scholarship winners were invited to perform, and were awarded their certificates, at a Celebration of Dance event on the Jamie Hill and Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Stage at the National Music Centre on October 22.

Congratulations again, Bella what an honour to be awarded this scholarship and to perform at the inaugural event! We are all very proud of you! Keep up the great work!
